If you have tried yoga classes in town and felt like you got lost in the crowd, or they were moving too fast or maybe you simply felt uncomfortable, I offer private yoga, at your home, based on your needs and unique structural differences. The system is based on a series of asanas (postures), which increase in difficulty as we progress, allowing students to work at their own pace. You’ll be encouraged to breathe as you move from pose to pose. Be prepared to sweat. We will be working with your individual needs, whether it be fixing a tight shoulder, or strengthening legs or core. Whatever you need to work on, we will tailor-fit it for you.
We also offer a gentle yin, restorative yoga with sound healing group class once a month in another room in my suite. The date changes from month to month but it is usually around the full moon in the evening. I will be using sound healing tools such as singing bowls, tuning forks, rainsticks, and chimes among other instruments to bring about a peaceful rejuvenating class more geared for meditation rather than a workout. We are here to connect with our higher selves, allowing our bodies to rest rather than move and sweat. The postures are held for longer periods (3-8 min). We will be using props for support such as blocks, bolsters, and blankets. While you rest in each posture I will lead you through small meditations and serenade you with healing music.
